Money, fast cars, boats, nice clothes, large homes, furniture, shallow friends who share the love of money with those who love it, and jewelry that cost as much as a home will make someone poor. Why would this make someone poor? Because it is worshiping false gods and when you love money and things of this world, they are false gods. One day Christ Jesus will return and all those who reject God and His truth in Christ Jesus will perish along with the world and all things in it. Mark 10: 21-27 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack, he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth. Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!” The disciples were amazed at his words, But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, “Who then can be saved?”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” There are very few rich people who will enter the kingdom of God because they have indeed the righteousness of God from Abraham’s faith in God to those who accept the living word of God and have faith in God through the perfect Lamb of God in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Job was an exception for a rich man to fear God and love God to be able to enter into the kingdom of God. But, most people who have monetary riches will not look to God. That is a fact that some refuse to accept and they will not give up their riches to follow God. Do you want to go from rags to riches? I can guarantee you this truth from God in His Holy Word how to achieve true riches: Matthew 6: 19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Do not worry: Matthew 6: 25 -33″Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; of about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O’ you of little faith? So, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that need them, But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Worldy riches will one day be gone, but eternal riches in Christ Jesus will never end.
Well said! These wordly things last but a season. Nothinf wrong with wealth, if used according to His will. Love God, above all these material things. Blessings.
