I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: Nevertheless I have some-what against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Matthew 22:36-38 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. KJV
Let us all remember our first love. I pray for all believers in Jesus to remember their first love or repent and do the the works of our first love. I pray also for the lost to be gathered together by faith when hearing or reading the Gospel of Jesus. Also with love of all that we have in us to our God.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world, Amen
As humans we look on the outward appearance of other people. We tend to judge what we see, whether if they look strong or appear to be a good person from the clothes they wear or public display of good works to receive praise from men. Truly, we cannot see the inner depths of man’s motive which come from the heart, but God does not see as man sees, as he looks at the heart. Be careful not to judge someone based on their outward physical appearance, whether their stature or how they appear good from putting on a show to receive praise.
Pray in the Holy Spirit for wisdom, understanding, and sound judgment without judging someone. 1 Samuel 16:6-7 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him.” But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Matthew 6:1-4 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
