ARCHIVES FROM THE ATLANTA JOURNAL – CONSTITUTION NEWSPAPER ON AUGUST 31, 1986: I was only twelve years old when my very first book titled How To Stay Alive was published in the Atlanta Journal – Constitution Newspaper under well known journalist and published author Celestine Sibley’s column. She referred to me as a budding author who learned lessons well and she wrote that she was my first and most admired reviewer in her column regarding my book that I wrote and sold door to door. She also called me a competent writer who was clearly on my way to make my mark in the world. My book is about why people shouldn’t smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs. As I reflect on my very first book being published in her column in the newspaper along with her inspirational words about me and my writing , it reminds me of my passion that I have for writing and encourages me to move forward with my writing projects. I’ve been writing since the age of six and now my passion and desire is to share God’s word and glorify Christ Jesus through my writing and with everything. Amen.
